The day that I was born,
An angel was waiting for me.
With an open heart and arms,
I was welcomed to my family.
Tis quite a journey I traveled,
From such a beautiful place.
I left my father from above,
And then saw my mother's face.
So perfect in every way,
As she looked at me and smiled.
I promised God to take care of you
And hold your hand for a while.
Until it's time to let you go,
Safe to be on your own.
I'll always love and protect you.
Even when you are grown.
