Oh Lord I tried it my way,
Telling you what to do.
Thinking I knew better,
Living apart from You.
Seeing all I'd been through,
You knew I had enough.
My child there is a better way.
This way is not so rough.
Delight yourself in me,
Desires of your heart I give,
If you would just commit to me,
The life that you do live.
Rest in my arms so gently.
